As I think about our role discipling and teaching our children, there are many ways we can study God's Word together. I wanted to share a Bible reading plan and workbook, given to our family by another Crossroad mom, that has blessed us.
Exploring the Bible: A Bible Reading Plan for Kids is written by David Murray and suggested for kids ages 6-12. The book includes Scripture to read each day with a question to answer or verse to write/memorize, so the book can be adjusted to have more or less reading and writing help from parents.
The book is broken down by weeks and includes a memory verse, section to record prayer requests, daily Bible reading (typically 5-10 verses) with discussion questions, and a place to fill in sermon notes each Sunday. The Scripture passages start in Genesis and work through the big story throughout the Bible.
You can see a preview of the book at Crossway.
The workbook can be purchased here or the family devotional here.
