Mommy Mondays: No Greater Joy and Little Blessings

Today my older son hopped out of bed and ran to my room looking for "Mommy's Bible" (and narrating as he went).

I soon found him like this, singing "Jesus loves me."

Within a few minutes, his baby brother woke up (probably due to the "reading" and singing), and by the time I went to get the baby, I found this:

He was "reading" to his brother: "Jesus loves you! Jesus REALLY loves you! I love you too!"

Some days the Lord gives us these little encouragements with our kids, for a future with Him. My prayer for these little guys is that they would grow up to be mighty men of God; men after God's own heart. I pray that they would walk with Him all the days of their lives. In the midst of potty training, temper tantrums, boo-boos, and fights of "mine!", it's encouraging to see that some mornings my son's first thought is to spend time with God's Word praising Him (even though he doesn't know what that means yet) and his second thought is to share it with his brother.

"I have no greater joy than this, to hear of my children walking in the truth." III John 1:4
