We love our children's Bibles, but there quickly becomes a time when I want my kids to be able to hear the Word of God more directly rather than summarized and simplified versions of stories. But there are a lot of challenging passages, especially in the Old Testament that are easy to want to skip over. Two years ago I did a Bible reading plan that linked with Bible Project videos at the beginning of new books of the Bible and for specific themes and characteristics of God.
These videos are a great resource for adults as they read God's Word, but also a helpful tool for older kids as they are able to read a word for word Bible, but may not have all the context for each book or idea.
