While we are continuing to have Bible studies and other opportunities for women to fellowship, encourage, pray, and minister, there are big changes to our usual operation during this COVID-19 shutdown! All events held at the Crossroad's facility adhere to Crossroad's COVID precautionary measures (see details here).
Bible Studies
Our studies are up and running! We meet in very small groups either on Zoom, at homes, or at Crossroads. The 2020 Autumn Studies run from the week of September 14 through the duration of each book. Official registration (click here) for Autumn Studies ends September 6, after which the groups and schedules will be announced. Even if you miss registration, please contact us! It's never too late to get into one of our studies! You can get in touch with the CWM study team at cbcwomensministryla@gmail.com or by contacting the Crossroads Bible Church office.
We regret that childcare for Bible Study is currently unavailable. We are deeply sorry for the inconvenience this causes. We attempt to provide schedule options that we hope will allow mothers to find other arrangements so they can still join a study!
Care Ministry
Care Ministry is still up and running! The hub of our communication centers around our Care Ministry Facebook Page; but please feel free to contact us at cbcwomensministryla@gmail.com if you are not on Facebook and have questions about care ministry.
Meals
Our Care Ministry organizes a meal train for individuals and families with a new baby or experiencing serious illness, bereavement, hospitalizations, or other extraordinary challenges. Our Crossroads family may have faults, but we love bringing meals to each other! We have options available depending on the level of contact with which a recipient is comfortable.
Maternity Closet
We have a give-and-take lending closet of maternity clothes for ladies in our body who are experiencing the size and shape fluctuations of expectant motherhood! We love sharing special pieces and passing around outfits (that we all only need for a few short months!) and seeing our families grow! Please feel free to email us at cbcwomensministryla@gmail.com for info about borrowing clothes--and don't worry, we won't prematurely spill the beans about your pregnancy!
Bereavement and Flowers
We work to bless Crossroads members with flowers during a hospital stay or surgery, but because of COVID restrictions, we cannot deliver to the hospital, so our CWM team delivers flowers at home. (Please contact us if you would like to be a part of this ministry!)
Our bereavement ministry has been highly restricted due to COVID, but contact the CBC office (office@crossroadsbiblechurch.com) if you have questions.
Corporate Events
All our corporate events are cancelled until further notice, but we still hope to find a way to bless our pastors and elders especially during October (Elder Appreciation Month). Updates to post on the blog as we come up with ideas--and we love suggestions!
Kitchen
Not currently in use, due to COVID-19, so the kitchen is getting organized and some updated gear and equipment.
Missions
We still have monthly meetings to pray for our international partners, though we are currently meeting online with a secure program due to the delicate nature of some of our requests and contacts. Please email us if you are interested in joining us, we meet for prayer every month on the third Wednesday.
Every year, we send a Christmas care package to our International Partners, and we have plans to bless them even more this year, since it has been such a challenge! Sign-up for the items requested will be available October 4th, more details to come.
Newsletter
For more than 10 years, we've had a CWM Newsletter mailed to our ladies once a quarter to share news and upcoming events with the ministry! If you do not receive this newsletter and would like to, please let us know and give us your mailing address! Email cbcwomensministryla@gmail.com to get in touch with the CWM team, or feel free to contact the church office at office@crossroadsbiblechurch.com
